All cemeteries are owned by Polk County and are operated by an elected board of directors. Farnstrom Mortuary is the agent for all cemeteries within the two districts. All property purchase and opening / closing of graves are arranged by Farnstrom Mortuary.

Fir Crest Cemetery District:

Non-Residents of Monmouth or Independence the cost of cemetery property	$600.00
Hilltop and Fir Crest Cemetery Districts:
Baby Land at Fir Crest Cemetery	$150.00
Standard Grave Opening and Closing	$650.00
Overtime for services 3:30 or later on week days in addition to Opening / Closing	$200.00
Overtime for Services on Saturday in addition to Opening / Closing	$300.00
Overtime for Services on Sunday in addition to Opening / Closing	$400.00
Overtime for Services on Holidays in addition to Opening / Closing	$500.00
Staking Grave and Recording Fee	$75.00
Opening and Closing for Urn, placing of urn at our conveyance	$200.00
Opening and Closing for Urn with witness or with a set up for Graveside Service	$325.00

IMPORTANT NOTES:

An Interment authorization MUST be signed and payment must be made before grave is opened. Please check with Farnstrom Mortuary about rules and regulations in regards to the cemetery.
